Šeherzada Džafić attended doctoral study of Literature, Performing Arts, Culture and Film at the Faculty of Philosophy, the University of Zagreb. She obtained PhD with the dissertation on Inter-cultural literature in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has been the main focus of her interest. She is an assistant professor at the Teacher Training Faculty of the University of Bihać and works at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica at the Department of Cultural Studies and the Faculty of Philosophy of Zagreb University, and the Department of South Slav Languages and Literature. She was a guest lecturer at the Slavic Institutes in Graz, Vienna and Ljubljana. She authored two studies and over twenty scientific papers. During her studies, she initiated and edited the kontraSt (2002-2006) review. She was a member of several non-governmental organizations, and within one of them she edited the EKUS ecological review (2003-2008). She is currently the editor of the University Post Scriptum review.
